“Raku Tea Bowls” is a small series of wheel- thrown tea bowls created in various forms to comfortably fit the hand. There are two main forms: the bowl and the compressed bowl. Both forms cater to the shape of cupped hands by filling the space and directing a concentration on the thumb orientation. These vessels demand an attention to tactility, making the user conscious of their interactions with functionality.
